Jumpswing is a subset of Lindy Hop patterns rearranged to appeal to the energies and abilities of frisky beginners. It is very popular at Cornell University. Jumpswing is a way to dance to fast music 180-240bpm easily, with a very definite body pulse that feels good. It began as "Retro Swing" in Southern California during the late 1990s, and has been developed to higher levels of sophistication by its enthusiasts. It is not just for beginners, since intermediate and advanced dancers enjoy it as well.
